MPEG (e.g. 720 x 576) is not shown as thumbnails in the Explorer, smaller dimensions are

Thumbnails in Explorer works fine, avi, mpeg, you name it, no problem.
Except when the dimensions of a (mpeg) file are beyond a certain
dimension. E.g. 720 x 576 does NOT produce a thumnail. Does anybody
know how to 'fix' this?

Yes, you are right, nobody knows.

My OS can produce thumnails on mepg files without limitiation on dimensions
or file size.
