Hi,
Is it possible to copy mp3's in that format onto a blank CD ROM. In Media
Player it converts to WAV format which is much larger. My daughter has has a
walkman type thing that claims to play mp3's. We've been unable to copy
these to disc. Do I need a specialised program or disc.

You need an application that will copy them to CD as such. I believe the
current versions of Easy Media Player, www.roxio.com and Nero, www.nero.com
will both do what you wish. Visit their websites for more information and
to check that functionality.

Get Musicmatch. www.musicmatch.com its free for thr basic
version. You cannot just copy MP3 onto a disc and play it
in a Cd player there is a file that needs to be copied on
the to disc as well to allow the walkman to read the MP3
and musicmatch will do this for you. Its a one click deal
to burn, just choose the tracks, click burn to Cd and
chhose what format, Musicmatch does the rest
