Quick question about mp3 tagging:

I converted a lot of my CDs into mp3 format for my iPod a
few years ago through Roxio 5.0. I recently converted
some new CDs through Microsoft Media Player and was
impressed! Now, the "get names" on Microsoft Media
Player gets MUCH more information than Roxio did
including album covers for the file folders (which makes
browsing on my computer very fun). Is there a way to
update my old folders without re-converting all my CDs?!
I have a large collection of CDs and don't want to go
through that aweful process again.

Also, is there a way to add more info to the tag lines?
I noticed some of my older stuff only has artist and
album. I'd like to add in year type info.

Just add all your music files (if they are still on your computer) to WMP and choose to find the album info. That way, WMP does all the work while you just sit back and make changes, if needed. As for adding more stuff to the music tags, sometimes WMP will add it, other times not. It all depends on the Data provider.

Do yourself a favor and try Tag&Rename. It will do everything, including
downloading images and saving them both in the file, and as "Folder.jpg". You
can try it free for 30 days. http://www.softpointer.com/tr.htm
