mp3 player device

my device was working on my system ,than later after my kids were online
something went wrong and now windows xp does not find my player.when plugged
in it shows up on the screen but on my computer its not there.I use
RealPlayer for my music transfer but now real player does not find it,I tried
with real network techs,they took over my system and looked for themselves
and could find what was wrong,they knew it wasnt real players fault,so now i
ask you please help me so i may resume my mp3 player transfers.

System restore to when it was working .
