MP3 Movie in Powerpoint

I have some clips which I would like to insert as MP3 files. When I try to
preview any of them Powerpoint crashes. I have tried saving one as an AVI
but the files are too large and Inyway, when I preview the slide I get soung
but no video.
 
Sorry, there is no such thing as an mp3 video file. Could be the reason
PowerPoint won't play them. <g>
