I have Windows Server 2003 installed. I bought a new hard drive, since my
current one has been corrupted(few bad clusters). I have managed to copy the
entire hard drive to the new one, using PowerQuest DriveImage 6 SP2. All
partitions are NTFS. Set the new hard drive to same settings as the old
one(meaning: set to primary master). The OS manages to boot, but when it
gets in graphical mode, it keeps logging on and out and stays in that loop.
My brother tells me it could be that Windows XP Server 2003 looks at the
serial of the hard drive to maintain the driveletters, so my new hard drive
is not called C:, but some other drive letter... and my OS is looking for
its programs on the wrong location. I of course have to solve it ASAP. Any
ideas?
Regards,
Nico.
