I have a PC that originally had an OEM Win 98.
I later upgraded to a retail Win 2000 Pro (upgrade version).

If the hardware for the current Win 2000 system goes belly up, will I be
able to install the upgrade version of Win 2000 on new hardware?
I still have the OEM Win 98 CD. Hopefully, it is still readable.

Yes, you just need the 98 disk to point to when the upgrade complains
(ie swap cd's to verify, re swap)
