I need to move Windows 2000 Server from disk L to disk D on the same
computer. If I just move the disk as the second one (to be assigned D) it
crashes during start. What is the best way to accomplish this (if there is
any)?

Use Symantec Ghost but this don't change your letter unit, use ghost you can
change the disk like change a 20 gb disk for a 120 gb.

I don't think it will be possible.

At the very least you will need to edit boot.ini to show the new path to the
winnt directory, but there will be a LOT of references to the wrong path and
you may not be able to find and change them all.

I reckon rebuilding the server is the only reliable method to do this.
