moving roaming profiles

dear w2k-ng
i have to move a few hundreds roaming profiles on a w2k3 server to a
different location on the same server. is there something i should consider
or can i simply move these profiles. specially i do not want to loose any
permission on these files...

old location: \\server01\prof_old
new location \\server01\prof_new

You will need to make sure the profile path for the users are pointing to the
new location in AD.
 
To keep the permissions you can:
backup and restore to an alternate location with original permissions
Use robocopy
