moving programs

Is there any way to move a program from a desktop to your
laptop without having the installation CD? I downloaded a
program but have since lost the program and would really
like to have it on my laptop.

Well actually, there is. You'll have to search the internet for one, but
McAfee did a program transferer some years back. Its not as good as a proper
installation but will work quite often. Your chances are increased if your
desktop and laptop use the same OS.
