Moving programs

Can anyone advise how to remove a program from Excel to
another program such as MSWord. I have a file that is
incompatible with Excel.

'incompatible'. What kind of file do you have?

Excel is a program.

Word is a program.

They each work with different file types.

What type of file is "incompatible" with Excel?

Did you open an Excel file in Word and save it?
