Hi
I wanted to make a shortcut for Microsoft Publisher on my desktop. I used
the Start Menu, found Microsoft Office, opened it up to display Microsoft
Publisher, then used the mouse to drag it to the desktop. What happened was,
I moved it from this location on the Start Menu and place it on the desktop.
I since learned how to make a shortcut; but, how do I place the program back,
from the desktop to its place under Microsoft Office in the Start Menu?
Please.

Len,
There several ways. The following has several steps, but I think is the
easiest (rather than navigating to the location in Explorer):

* drag the MS Publisher shortcut from the desktop to the start button (orb).
This will just copy it, so it will also remain on the desktop.
* open the start menu and you will see that the MS Pub shortcut is now there.
* drag that shortcut over the Programs entry (or All Programs -- if you're
not using the classic view).
* when the shortcut is over Programs, you'll first see the symbol of a
circle with a diagonal line thru it. But be patient.
* the Programs menu will open and you can continue to drag the shortcut to
the MS Office folder. Again, wait for that folder to open, then you can drop
your shortcut within that folder.
That's it.
