Moving pictures from computer to cd disk

Can anyone tell me why I would lose the pictures that I moved to a cd? I
know how to copy or move items by clicking on the commands on the left side
of a window.

The short answer is that a CD is not like other disks--you can't just
drag files to it and have them there. There are other steps involved
and sometimes those steps are either not done or errors occur in the
process.

Your best bet for putting files onto a CD is to use 3rd party software
for burning CD-Rs. Some was undoubtedly included with your system if
it has a CD or DVD burner--look for names like Roxio or Nero.

This software has (much too ;-) friendly interfaces for setting up
data CDs or DVDs and then burning them.
