Moving Outlook from 2003 to 2007 URGENT PLEASE

S

SQL Brad

I am moving an Outlook 2003 .pst file which is on a laptop to a desktop that
is running Office 2007 Standard. When I moved the older .pst file over and
opened from within outlook 2007, it wants a password. A password was never
created for this. Any ideas?

ALSO....how do I make this the default outlook file once I can get it opened?

thanks for replices in Advance

So how did you move it?
Was it a copy of the origonal, if so how did you copy it
Where did you place the pst file, did you overwrite an existing pst?

on the desktop, I set the mydocuments folder as a share...then on the laptop
(older machine) I mapped it as a drive to the shared folder on the
desktop...then copied and pasted. (Its a 1.8GB file, ugghg) In the mail
profile I pointed the data file to the proper on in my documents.....I konw
that in general the .pst is located in the documents and settings,
application data. micorosoft, office, etc....
thanks
