Moving Outlook 2007 from one PC to another

E

Excel

Is anyone able to provide me the steps for moving Oulook 2007 files
from one PC to another?
Last time I did it, I lost my rules, I got duplicates of many emails,
My overdue reminders disappeared, and my upcoming reminders are
doubled, and so on. Last time, all I did was copy the .pst file from
one PC to the other. There is clearly more to it than that. Does
anyone know the appropriate steps to do this properly?

Thanks,

Copy the PST from one PC to the other is how you transfer the data, but you
must be careful not to overwrite an existing PST and then you must correctly
add the moved PST to the mail profile on the destination machine. See if
these links help:

This latter is written for OL 2002, but the principles apply no matter what
version you have.

There isnt more too it than that, unless you then chose to import your data
After copying the data file to some location on the new hd, and not
overwriting any existing data file.
If OL is set up, within OL, File>Open>Data File .......browse to this pst
If OL is not setup use the mail applet in the control panel to configure OL
and add this data file as your default
