moving old OE messages/folders into new computer

I'm trying to move or copy messages, nicely organized and
residing in several inbox/sent subfolders from OE v6 in
my old computer to OE v6 in my new computer. Also trying
to move address book/contacts. I have tried usb cable
transfer, net-working, even putting the old hard drive in
the new machine; nothing works. The OE v6 in my new
computer will not see any of this stuff or recognize
formats. Any thoughts?
