moving my servername to point to another host

Hello, I am thinking of buying my domain at MyValueHost.com. They offer a 4$ domain name registration but they say they offer nothing beyond that. How would i then make this domain point to my new server if I decide to host for free.

What do you mean they don't offer anything beyond the domain name registration, at $4.95 month for
hosting, you get the domain registration for free.

You would have see if they all domain redirection or even if they allow you to transfer the domain
from them.
