My daughter is running out of space on C. What is the correct way to move the
iTunes directory to D?

There may be some special issues that can only be dealt with on an
Apple/iTunes forum, but at minimum I would guess:
1. Moving the folder between drives, the same way as you'd move any other
explorer folder (which btw does not mean copy and delete the original)
2. Update all path references in the iTunes program
(3). Place-holder for the iTunes specifics which may still screw up.
