Question: I wish to move Frontpage to my new PC. When I attempt to load from the CD the installation fails.

Must I uninstall it from the old PC first? I realize that this should be done, but technically, is it required? Does the uninstall smart enough to write to the program CD?

What OS on the old pc, what OS on the new pc and what FrontPage version??

You must use the original FP CD to install on the new PC.

I am running XP - Home on both PCs. Frontpage was FP97 that I upgraded to Frontpage 2003. I can't locate my FP97 box.....that was a long time ago.

It's telling me that it can't find Microsoft Office on my drive...but...that's all I have on the drive. It's a new Dell Inspiron 9100, with MS Small Business.

If FP2003 is an upgrade, then you will need a prior version of FP to upgrade from. It doesn't have
to be installed, you just have to have the CD available to insert into the CD drive.

The FP 97 disk is a must if you have an upgrade version of 2003.
