Movies in PowerPoint

When importing a movie from file, how can I preserve the toggle bar menu so
that I may control how fast or slow the movie runs? Or, if I want to pause
and focus on one aspect of it?
 
You can insert the Windows Media Player as a "control" to play the movie and
it will provide these functions.
