moviemaker freezes

HI-
I'm running moviemaker on a Celeron (pentium 3) windows
machine and it freezes regularly during use. I get the
message back from the computer that 'this program is not
responding' and I have to reboot and start over. I
haven't lost any work yet, but it lengthens my work and
frustration. Is there a fix?

I used to get that with another video editing program. Try
defragmenting you hard drive( or at least analysing it to
see if your media file are excessively fragmented), now I
don't.
