Movie Splitter

Is there a program that will allow me to split a movie in half? And keep it
in half so they can still be viewed separately? I would like to put the two
halves on separate disks.

Not sure of any specific progs (maybe DVDecypter or DVDShrink) but a god
place to start looking is http://www.doom9.org which has detailed tutorials
and links to software - some free, some not.
