Movie Maker to CD

I can get all the clips onto my system but when I try to save to CD I get a
message saying that there's no recordable CD present on the system. There is!
I've tried blank CD-R, CD-RW. I've tried formatted CD-R and CD-RW. Is there
any patches which I need? I'm using WINDOWS -XP. It's driving me mad as I'm
having to save to MY COMPUTER and then copy from there to the CD. Any
suggestions, or help, would be gratefully accepted.
