Movie Maker movies and DVD

Hi Janie,

Movie Maker will write WMV video files to CDs, these will not play on DVD
players. At some point they will play on "HighMAT" enabled DVD players that
support video playback, but they are not yet available.

If you are saving out a movie from Movie Maker and using a DVD burning
application to create the DVD from it, then it should play on just about any
DVD player.

Hi there,

It depends on several things:

(1) MM2 does not "do" DVD's... sooooo,
(2) Your DVD SW/HW
(3) Your TV/DVD player's age

My experience is that (via ArcSoft's ShowBiz v2) "+ R's"
work on most TV/DVD players... "+ RW's" work on only the
newer TV/DVD players... "- R/RW's" are a coin-flip.
