Movie maker crashes when I try to add any effects

When I click on any effect buttons or transition buttons
movie maker crashes without any error message. This also
happens when I try to blend to clips together.
Plz help

yeah this is happening to me at the moment it mmust be a driver thing becuase this never happend on my last computer so here gos ill give you a list of my hardware and all all the drivers i can remember (its late ) amd winfast ti4200 vivo directX 9.0b display drivers 6.14.10.5216 well its got nothing to do with screen res hey maybe try safemode or vga mode then go threw the process of elimenation becuase its a damn good program not have working
