Movie Maker and Producer will not start

Am using a laptop with Windows XP Media Center edition.
Cannot open Movie Maker nor Microsoft producer. Crashes
right away.
Works ok on another machine that has straight Windows XP
Pro installed.
Believe it may have something to do with the Media Center
Edition of XP
Any help is appreciated.

Frank,

Two of my computers running MM2 are Media Center Edition ones. They run fine
but have the same issues as others when it comes to codecs and hardware
acceleration.

Check the Problem Solving > Acceleration and Codecs page of my site.
