Movie Maker 2 ActiveMovie Window

Why do my mpeg files imported into MM2 always play in
this seperate "ActiveMovie" window rather than in the
preview monitor in the program? I also get no video at
all when I play from the timeline area. (no "ActiveMovie"
window will open. Is there a fix for this or is MM2 just
a waste of time? I have a brand new Dell machine and all
updates.

Please post to microsoft.public.windowsxp.moviemaker

You have a configuration problem with Activemovie; it is set to your default
player instead of Media Player.

Hello NoNoBadDog,

I have the same problem as Jim, plus my mm2 creates
no clip's from my mpeg-files created with leadtek
winfast tv2000 XP. Can you tell me, how i can
make my mediaplayer as the default player ?

Right click on any file created by the leadtek, select "open with...",
select MP from the list, and check the box at the bottom that says "always
use this program...".
