Movie for DVD authoring

What is the best format to save the movie file for DVD as
its final playback destination ?

For the highest quality DVDs, DV-AVI is the right choice when saving from
Movie Maker.

If you are tight on hard drive space the WMV files work pretty well, as long
as your DVD software can use WMV for its source files.
