Move archive folders

Hi

We have "quite a lot" ? of old mails save in the archive folders in outlook.

Is ther anyway to free up space in outlook by moveing these to another
folder on the C drive.

I have tried the copy button but it only give the option to move to another
xection of outlook.

They dont use any space in Outlook, the Archive file is a separate data file
that is simply visible within Outlook.
If you review your archive settings it will reveal both the path and name of
the archive file.
What version of Outlook & what size is your Archive file?
 
Thanks for the help. I din't know that about the archive folders. I moved 2
folders of old stuff (3000 flight e tickets and 25000 paypal confirmations)
into the archive folder and that solved the problem
