Where Do You Place Your Archive Backup file?

Re. Outlook 2007

I want to move my Outlook archive backup file from an external drive and begin archiving my emails on my C drive. The archive backup file is located in a folder called "Outlook" and there's nothing else in the folder.

Where on Drive C should I place the archive backup file? In other words, which folder should this file be in and specifically where on drive C should this folder be located.....what should the path be?

Thanks..

I wouldn't place it anywhere on the C:\-drive to begin with. I wouldn't even
place it on the same hard disk as my original because otherwise your backup
is gone as well when you have a disk failure.

A backup should be on a separate medium from your original. The external
drive is perfect for that.

Now, if you are saying that you have a closed archive on an external medium
and you want a copy of that file available in Outlook (and you keep of
course the original on the external medium as well), then you can place it
anywhere you like as log as you keep it away from any system folder. A
subfolder in your Documents folder would be perfect. Then connect to it from
within Outlook via;
File-> Open-> Outlook Data File...
