mouse scrolling problem in outlook inbox

Windows XP, Outllok 2003 . . . mouse won't scroll properly in the Inbox
(works fine elsewhere). After laborious research via Logitech, Toshiba, and
MS, I'm told my Outlook is corrupt and that I must uninstall and reinstall,
but I have to lose all my emails! I don't want to lose them. Any suggestions?

Hi Holly

If you're sure Outlook is corrupt and you're using a PST file, try first
running ScanPST.exe against your PST file to try and fix it. Do a file search
for ScanPST and double-click it and follow the instructions. If that doesn't
work, back up your PST and restore it when Outlook is reinstalled:
