I set my mouse pointer to a pointer I want loaded all the time but it keeps
changing back to the original.
Is there a way to keep the one I choose.

Hi,

Change, apply and OK your pointers as you have been doing, then go to...

Control Panel > Personalization > Theme

....the Theme Settings panel will then open. Click the Save As button and
give your new theme a name.

That should do it.

Still the same results

Ok.

Have you tried changing to a different pointer theme (ie changes all the
pointers) from the default selection available? If this didn't work it would
indicate a problem and if it did it may indicate that you are selecting an
individual pointer incorrectly.

Can you try and let us know?

When I go to the control panel and choose Mouse Pointers it shows the one
that should be using but it is not using it until I exit control panel.

That's not what I asked.

I asked if you were able to apply one of the default pointer schemes like
3D-Bronze, Conductor, Dinosaur etc.

Andy

Yes I was able to load another cursor from Microsoft.
I put the pointer I wanted in the windows cursor directory and it works now.
Thanks for your help.
