Mouse pointer runs on its own

We have a HP D330with win xp pro, a HP USB Optical mouse
is attached to it. More frequently now while using the
mouse the pointer will move on its own. Its very difficult
to use this mouse. We have changed the mouse and scanned
for virus but to no luck.

Do you have Speech Recognition turned on (Control Panel)? Turn it off
and see if that fixes things.
