Mouse pointer problem

D

David Salmon

I am using a PS\2 compatible mouse by Logitech. I generally use the
"Windows Standard (extra-large) (system scheme)" pointer, selected via
Control Panel.

Since installing SP2, the pointer disappears and is not replaced by the
usual "text select" icon when I mouse over a menu box or -- worse -- move
the mouse into an Outlook Express message such as this.

The same is true of the "Magnified (system select)" option.

"Windows Inverted (extra large) (system scheme)" pointer is visible in
email/news items/menu boxes, but is not as easy to see.

Any suggestions for correcting this problem, or is it a bug in SP2?

Thanks.

David

Try this set it to windows default(system scheme),reboot
see if it works OK,then go back and put it to large
text,and reboot,give that a try.If it don't work post
back here.

No joy. When set to Windows Standard (extra large), as I run the pointer
over the text in this message, it disappears. Not true when set to Windows
Inverted (extra large).

There is one more, from your control panel(if you have it
switch to classic view)internet options,,,security
tab,,,first internet-custom level,,,allow script
initiated windows without size or position
constraints,,,change the settings to enable,,,do this for
all 4 in the catagory,,,or better yet,,,highlite each of
the 4 and select default level on each.Hope that works
David .
