Mouse & Keyboard locks up

I recently connected a HP LaserJet 4 to my computer
running XP. All of a sudden my mouse and keyboard will
lock up. When I unplug the printer, they both start
working again. Does anyone know how to fix this problem?
 
Try going to HP's website and download the newest drivers
for your printer. Delete the printer and reinstall using
the new drivers. Sometimes outdated or corrupted drivers
can cause these problems.
