Mouse is frozen at load up and it remains so

Please anybody tell me how to solve the following problem:

Most of the time the mouse pointer on the screen remains frozen after Windows XP loads, which forces me to reboot the computer on and on until the mouse can move its pointer on the screen.

I have changed mouse after mouse and the problem persists.
 
Try a USB mouse instead. It sounds like the PS2 mouse port on the
motherboard is a problem.
