We recently replaced all our computers with dells /windows xp . every now a
then we lose control of our mouse. this happens pn my home computer as well
since I have upgraded to xp. the only way I can explain it is .you may have
your pointer in the middle of a screen expecting to click ok or something and
the pointer is now in the top left or right corner and you have no idea how
it got there. Any ideas?
Thanks
Laura

It (Random Movement) is a known issue with USB mice and a mouse
control function "Enhance Pointer Precision". You might try to uncheck
the option in the Mouse Applet in Control Panel, Pointers options (TAB).
if Dell shipped the USB-to-PS2 Adapter use it to connect the mouse to
the PS2 port on the back of the PC. I haven't followed the issue lately
so there may be a patch or update of Mouse control software that will
address it.
