mouse feet ripoff

Does anyone know where I can get spare mouse feet from? (those little
plastic ovals on the bottom of optical mice). A company called Everglide
seems to have a monopoly on this market, and know it, charging £10 for a
pack!!! For _____ sake its cheaper to buy a new mouse!!! Im not hard up but
take exception to having to pay that much for 5 tiny chips of plastic.

Does anyone know a supplier of these things who sell them at a sensible
price?

Just remove all the feet. It should still work.

Some arts and crafts stores sell something similar that is used stuck to the
bottom of crafts to eliminate scratching surfaces.

Home improvement centers might stock something similar for use in making
cabinet drawers slide easier.

When I used to install carpet one of our tools had stick on Teflon glides
that we would get at a carpet tool supply shop so we did not scratch up the
baseboards.

You can get teflon or other similar plastic sheeting on ebay
or elsewhere and cut your own, but that tends to be very
expensive if you didn't have other uses for the material
(might make a nice mouse pad in some cases).

There's also "mouse skates",

This place sells different feet,
http://www.slicksurf.com/

There are at least a couple of other places that sell them
(different "brand" product but I don't know if actually any
different besides the name, and I don't recall who at the
moment... or you could just get "teflon tape" (Google for
it) and put it across the entire bottom front and back of
the mouse.

I do this with an older mouseon another pc and the casing of the mouse is
starting to wear on one side
so i want to avoid this with my newer mouse

Its only a bit of plastic though isn't it?
I am sure you could find some bit of plastic you could cut
into circles and stick on the mouse?
A bit of a plastic milk cartom perhaps?
