mouse click does not start animation

I have set up a slide show using animation. In View Show, the animation fails
to open upon clicking the mouse. In order to open the animation, I must
right-click and click Advance. It is essential that the user of this file be
able to simply click to start the animation, rather than running it via
Advance
 
what version are you using?
are you talking about transition between slides or animation effects on
a slide?
are you sure you have the slide advance/transition set to advance on a
mouseclick?
are you sure you have the animations set to start on a mouseclick?
