After trying to install a bluetooth mouse (logitech) neither this one nor the
wired PS2-devices (keyboard and mouse) respond once XP is started. Problem
remains after booting in protected mode or any other. Can you help?

What happens if you try an boot in safe mode then go to device manager an
uninstall the mouse drivers that is currently installed then re-boot with the
blue tooth mouse connected and see if windows automaticly installs it.

Many thanks. But unfortunately both, keyboard and mouse, don't work in safe
mode either.

If you can try get hold of a USB keyboard and mouse then you can try see if
that will work, otherwise try a windows repair ans see if that helps.
