Mouse and Keyboard failure after SP1

J

JimW

I have the Microsoft wireless mouse and keyboard.

After Vista SP1, when I go to a specific HTTPS internet site, the keyboard
and mouse both stop working. Have to hard reboot to get them back. Totally
repeatable 100% of the time.

Any ideas?

No, the wireless works fine.

Its just that when I go to one website (a secure one with userid and
password) then it stops seeing the mouse and keyboard and only a reboot will
restore. Only on that one site. All others work fine.

Weird.

Jim,

I found a general guide on trouble shooting wireless devices. Take a
look and see if there's anything in there that can assist you. Here's
the link: 'SolutionBase: Troubleshooting wireless keyboards and mice'

I hope this helps.

Well, mine simply stops totally (though it will work at BIOS screen).
Keyboard is MS wireless comfort 1.0a. The mouse works fine, but the
keyboard doesn't even show under keyboard properties, though you get
audible notification unplugging and plugging in. Tried a wired keyboard
(HP) and it shows in keyboard properties, but doesn't work.

This is a machine that's just 1 week old and worked fine until getting
SP1 a day ago...
Hello,
You might want to "talk" to Microsoft Help & Support regarding issues after
SP1 installed. The following is the link:
