Hi there,

Its been a while since I've done this.

Can somebody please explain how I can map a drive and/or partition that I
can see listed in the "My Network Places" menu listed in "The internet"
section?

Cheers,

Noah

Open Windows Explorer, click on tools, map network drive. Browse to the
folder you want to map.

On the Menu bar in "My Network Places" click Tools > Map Network Drive...
Browse button.
Or
Right click on the "My Network Places" icon on the desktop and click Map
Network Drive... > Browse button.

Some times a situation arises where the drive can't be mapped due to
security restictions/permissions, in that case the restictions/permissions
need to be changed to allow the drive to be mapped. The best way I find to
keep it secure is to create a same name user w/password on the network
machines you want to share it from/to and select "Connect using a different
user name" in the Map Network Drive setup window.
