Motherboard not seeing USB, among other things

I recently did a Windows XP restore and am now having
various device driver problems.

Immediately after doing the restore the drivers for the
following hardware were missing:

Nividia(R) nForce(TM) MCP Audio Processing Unit (Dolby(R)
Digital)

Nividia(R) nForce(TM) MCP Audio Codec Interface
MSI 8606 Video Capture
Ethernet Controller
Multimedia Controller
Nividia(R) nForce PCI System Management

When installing drivers from the installation disks from
the installation wizard it says:

An error occurred during installation of the device
Access is denied.

How do I get around this?

Also, I put XPService Pack 1a on and now the computer
won't recognize my USB mouse (which before it did
automatically), or my USB 128 mB Lexar jump drive.
There are no errors that are shown in the device manager
that are related to the USB ports.
Does anyone have any idea how to fix this?

If you restored back to a time before said drivers and
SP1a was installed,you will have to re-install them.Also,
you need SP1a installed to support USB2.0...Good luck.
