motherboard beep continously unless...

Strange I plug in/out my usb as usual. Today when I boot up my Presario, the
pc gives me a continous beep sound and will only stop if I power off the pc.

Test out ram/power supply but problem still persist. Did I "short circuit"
something when I plug out usb without stopping the device? Thanks and if I am
at the wrong place pls direct me tot correct forum.

I recommend you try a hardware newsgroup.

Contact HP tech support for the meaning of your beeps. Those beeps are
an audible code and the different beeps (short-short-long for ex.) mean
different things.
