A common symptom is a prompt at POST to enter the bios and change settings or hit F1 to install defaults.

And sometimes the clock within your OS won't show the correct time.

Or has been mentioned, take it out and measure the volts.

A new one costs less than two quid.

What problems are you having ? :user:

i cant reinstall windowsXP :cry: when im in the screen where in you can now choose to create a partition, theres a message in the bottom says "<setup cannot access this disk.>" some advice me to replace the battery of my motherboard.. i think your right, i must buy a new one :)

exactly :D that means i really must have a new one...
