Where do I find info on my motherboard such as it's name and manufacturer? Win XP Home, Sony Vaio.

Go to Manufacturers Website. Which would be Sony, plus its not recommended
tinkering with a Laptop motherboard, if you need it fixed or checked out,
take back to manufaturer.

I don't know the name of the board, that is why I asked where to find it on the computer. Would rather
type in a few words rather than open my computer. Tower case. I know it's there, I printed out a lot
of info a long time ago, but can't find the printout and don't remember where I found it.

Sony makes their own motherboards I believe.

Go to the Sony web site and check out the specs for your exact model
number.
