Hi all

Two questions really:

1. Does the SP2 upgrade file change to include later updates, or is it
always a case of starting with the base file then downloading all subsequent
updates to each PC?

2. Is the SP2 file common to both Home and Pro xp, this does not seem clear
on the MS WinXP site?

The file I have been using for all XP Pro client updates is
WindowsXP-KB835935-SP2-ENU.exe - suitable for Home Edition?

TIA

Phil

It does not include any updates that have been released since SP2. To get
a fully up-to-date system you need to install SP2 and then any updates that
have been released since.

The same SP2 file can be used for all versions of Windows XP.

Hi,

No, it's static. You will always need to install any updates released
subsequent to its original release.
2. Is the SP2 file common to both Home and Pro xp, this does not seem
clear on the MS WinXP site?

The full network version is common to both iterations of WinXP.
The file I have been using for all XP Pro client updates is
WindowsXP-KB835935-SP2-ENU.exe - suitable for Home Edition?

Yup.
