More outgoing mail than I am sending!

I find that when I send/receive and look at the process line at the bottom it
will say 'sending 2 of 2 messages' when I only had one to send. It makes me a
bit nervous to think something is going out more than I was sending. When I
look in my sent box all I see is the one message I sent. Paranoia aside, is
something going on here I don't understand?

No, I don't think so because I am not being asked to send a read receipt like
you normally are when one is requested by the emailer.

They could be stuck from way back. Either way; it doesn't hurt to check.

No, this is not the problem, I have done enough checking to know.

How would I check to see if I have some form of software that is secretly
emailing stuff from my computer?

That is not possible without Outlook prompting you to allow it. Those
messages would be exposed to you and not hide in Send/Receive.

I have been much more aware of this phenomena since I wrote the original, and
now I realize it says sending message two of two EVERY time I send one
message. This is really strange.

I really do appreciate all your effort with me. Unfortunately this didn't
have any stuck messages either! Did I mention it is Outlook 2007 w Business
Contact Manager?
I have used the OutlookSpy tools on all of these folders and still no items
when I get to the 'getcontenttable' area.
