Monthly recurring appointment

I want to schedule a monthly recurring appointment on the first workday of
the month. Does anyone have any suggestions
 
I would schedule a task to be run on the last day of the month. it would run
a script to test for a workday as the next, or following two days, and when
found, schedule a task to then launch a reminder on that startup, (or create
a calendar entry.) You can learn about scripting from a number of scripting
sites.
