My monitor on random occasions goes black with a horizontal line. After a short period it resets itself. I cant relate to any particular usage for this other than it being old, Belinea 10 70 40 several years old. ANY IDEAS.?

What is the Video Card?

It is NVIDIA GeForce FX 5200

Well, it is either one or the other, may even be both, but you are proably looking for a new monitor.

I take it you have the latest drivers for both the vid card & monitor?
